It was the dawn of black and white TV
and sleek long cars. It was a time when
a mighty chemical giant, DuPont could
afford all its villagers employment and
economic opportunity abounded. It was a
time when America was mighty, contained
within a village two miles square. It
was a time of love, family, wonderment,
church on Sunday and eternal optimism.
It was a time some thought would never
end. Thank God the memories never did.
